The 3DS Server: Installation Guide describes how to install and perform the initial configuration of Gate2Bank 3DS Server (3DSS).
This guide is intended for system professionals, implementation specialists involved with the installation and configuration of D8 Gate2Bank EMV 3DSS.
D8 Gate2Bank EMV 3DSS is a main module to perform modern, secure and high performance authentication to support world wide standards and PSD2 requirements.
The 3DSS installation and maintenance consists of the following steps:
- Deploying the application.
- Creating certificates for a connection to IPS.
- If necessary to support custom settings for multiple financial institutions.
- Configuring the testing mode to test the application operation.
Some of preconditions must be applied to support 3DSS installation.

- min: 4 x CPU cores i3, 8GB RAM, 50GB HDD
- avr: 4-8 x CPU cores i5, 8-16GB RAM, 50-100GB HDD/SSD
- max: 8 x CPU cores i7, 16GB RAM, 100GB SSD
¶ Environment
There are several options provided to deploy 3DSS:
- Standalone
For standalone mode installation the only Java 11 is required. - Docker-Compose
Docker and Docker Compose have to be installed previously.
Please pay attention on how to configure the logging driver to prevent disk-exhaustion
- Docker-Swarm

Obviously, the Podman must be installed on the system, right before you decided to deploy 3DSS.
To obtain jar or run docker (or podman) image with 3DSS you have to establish connection to D8 Gitlab Registry, to download the image itself. To achieve this the link must be reachable from the client environment. The credentials for authentication on D8 Gitlab Registry must be provided by D8 Corporation administrators.
¶ Database
For the database the only empty schema is required, all necessary objects are created by Flywaydb in the process of deployment.
The following versions of databases are supported:
Oracle 9+
PostgreSQL 9.6+
¶ System
The 3DSS is supplied as a stand-alone Spring boot application that is light-weight and does not require a separate application server.
The following minimal versions of browsers are supported:
